You will serve as a Packaging Specialist (HAZMAT) within NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will prepare business plans with recommendation for improving explosive and other HAZMAT packaging and transportation missions.
You will identifies issues associated with safety ,security, compliance, and enforcement policies and procedures for HAZMAT.
You will review reports regarding transportation incidents involving HAZMAT and assists in determining the appropriate follow-up actions.
You will search, collect, interpret, analyze and develop complete technical information and data on munitions and weapons systems for the purpose of recovery and transport.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1. Performing a wide variety of complex assignments related to the safety, security, and transportation of explosive ordnance and other HAZMAT
2. Overseeing the development, execution, and implementation of Hazardous Material Transportation Office (HTMO) HAZMAT packaging missions on a global basis.
3. Developing, coordinating, evaluating operations and ensuring implementation and compliance with new guidelines and procedures related to the movement of explosives and other HAZMAT.
