You will serve as a FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will provide technical and regulatory compliancy checks.
You will support the initiation of International co-development or other information-sharing agreements and assist with the life-cycle management.
You will assist the Branch Head and Deputy Branch Head in providing recommendations to senior leadership to support recurring oversight functions.
You will authorize the disclosure of Special Access Required (SAR) documents, briefings, and other forms.
You will develop and guide development of disclosure oversight, education, and training guidelines and materials.
You will coordinate with interagency stakeholders to achieve a consensus for delegated authority.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
Researching and analyzing international security/security cooperation affairs
Planning, managing, or executing security/defense cooperation activities
Formulating/recommending positions impacting security policies or strategies
Advising senior leaders/decision makers
Reviewing intelligence/information concerning regional trends, organizations, or economic/political decisions.

Degree: major or equivalent, or a combination of courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, in international law and international relations, political science, economics, history, sociology, geography, social or cultural anthropology, law, statistics, or in the humanities; or 12 semester hours in one of the above disciplines and 12 semester hours in statistics/quantitative methods.

Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

Experience: four years of appropriate experience in one or more of the fields listed above in work associated with international organizations, problems, or other aspects of foreign affairs.
