You will serve as a Supervisory Facilities Operations Specialist in the Facilities Management DIV of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will assign tasks and priorities for employees to accomplish a facility department's business goals. You will represent an organization in meetings to provide and exchange information related to communication systems and critical infrastructure planning and programming support. You will prepare reports to document progress of active facility projects. You will review operations of an organization in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with facility requirements to meet mission directives. You will aid with the planning, organization and performance of program management reviews.

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as protective headgear and hearing protections and observance of safety precautions are required.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and managing the facility maintenance action plan for Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization, and Demolition projects; 2) Developing planning documents for both short term and long range installation development goals; 3) Prioritizing facility projects to meet mission within annual budget constraints; 4) Preparing integrated priority list (IPL) for Commanding Officer review for military construction, special projects, demolition programs, and other programs as necessary; and 5) Responsible for execution of Public Works efforts supporting customer mission and functions.
