About the Position: This a Permanent position with G5, Plans Sections with US Army Central located on Shaw AFB, S.C. Telework information: Situational Telework Only, Including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled telework.

Duties

Develops working relationships with counterparts in other service components, COCOM arena, HQDA, OSD, and DoS. Studies and analyzes international security affairs that contribute to the development of CENTCOM and USARCENT strategic guidance documents. Reviews and analyzes Army publications pertinent to international affairs such as TSC strategies, and makes recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Drug testing required.
  • This position is Emergency Essential.
  • Temporary duty travel up to 25% of the time required.
  • The DoD SC Workforce (SCW) certification must be received within two years of being hired.
