About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Activity Center, Beale AFB, CA.
This position is regular full time, guaranteed 35 hours per week and receives benefits.
Duties
Plans, organizes, directs, and manages the operations of the Beale Community Center program. Supervise NAF employees, volunteers, and contract staff. Provides oversight of food and beverage operations, catered events, multipurpose, and CAC rooms, reservations, and classes. Plans and coordinates details of recurring and non-recurring activities, special events and joint community undertakings to make maximum use of facilities, services, and other resources. Plans and develops a publicity program. POC for open house, talent contests, mystery theater, and core/enhanced community activities programs. Supervises food and beverage and lounge operation employees. Develops menus based on staff/facility capabilities and customer desires. Creates catering options to provide food and beverage service to special functions and groups, both on and off-site. Maintains NAF financial viability or recommends changes to leadership to correct financial deficiencies.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience and knowledge with the management and operation of an Air Force Community Center Program or equivalent, to include conducting large and diversified social and recreational programs. Must have skills in organizing. instructing. and carrying out a wide variety of programs and services. Must have experience with financial management principles involved in receipting and protecting various monies, purchasing, marketing, and long-range forecasting as directly related to the Air Force Community Center Program. Must have exceptional skill and ability in the area of program/financial management. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
