You will serve as a Production Controller (Ordnance) in the Logistics Support Branch of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH.

Duties

You will be responsible for long and short range planning and scheduling of ammunition/explosive and inert receipt, storage, and issue operations. You will receive, review and recommend acceptance or rejection of workload demands from all customers. You will determine manpower, material, equipment, and maintenance requirements. You will originate, review, and respond to classified and unclassified Naval message traffic and other correspondence. You will manage the short and long range ship schedules for ammunition operations. You will review and update automated information systems including the Automated Planning System (APS) and the ordnance logistics system.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, scheduling, and progressing techniques to forecast workload and material requirements; 2) handling and storage/stowage for ammunition and explosives; and 3) Ability to read and interpret drawing, specifications, and ordnance publications.
