This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: You will work as a Supply Technician in the Directorate of Production Management. This position is a Third Shift position and has potential to change shifts at any given time.

Duties

Schedule inventory counts in accordance with established procedures taking into consideration priorities and categories designated by program modules and management control, local resources, and the type of inventory involved. Resolve issues that arise from periodic cycle counting of all the inventories and researches the root causes of inventory discrepancies. Perform data inquiry, in the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Systems to identify inventory counts of each system and perform root cause analysis on variances between systems. Utilize the ASRS Mini Load System to retrieve and cycle count inventory located within the system and work with personnel in the various warehouses.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Utilizing supply regulations and procedures to ensure supply support for the procurement/storage and retrieval of various parts and supplies; 2) Reviewing documents to identify and correct discrepancies; AND 3) Using office automation software/equipment to create, edit, store, and retrieve a variety of standardized documents.
