You will serve as an Information Security Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Security Division of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will implement and administer the provisions of Executive Orders 13526, 13556, ISOO Directives, DoDM 5200.01 V1-V3, DoDI 5200.48 SECNAVINST 5510.36 into established local policies.
You will provide for Classification Management Safeguarding; Transmission and Transportation; Security Education and Training.
You will conduct Preliminary Inquiries for security incidents involving Classified Information.
You will provide Security Classification Guides to customers and assist customers in interpretation and classification challenges as needed.
You will review and update the commands Emergency Action Plan and Standard Operating Procedures.
You will evaluate Information Security procedures (e.g., classification, marking, downgrading, declassification of technical documents or information) to confirm they are being completed according to program requirements.
You will keep abreast of emerging technologies and professional developments to remain current in the field and for being applicable to work assignments.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current SPeD certification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Information Security Specialist (INFOSEC). Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Handling Classified and Controlled Unclassified Information; (2) Conducting Preliminary Inquiries resulting from security incidents; (3) Conducting classification challenges; and (4) Performing work related to classification Management Safeguarding, Transmission and Transportation, and Security Education and Training.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
