Job opening: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR l

Salary: $40 - 47 per hour

You will serve as a Maintenance Supervisor in the Production Division of the Public Works Department of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will Plan work schedules and sequence of operations for the work force supervised. You will assign work to subordinates either orally, by providing written instructions, or electronically through the Single Platform Maximo (SPM) work management system. You will train subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, safety regulations and other regulations and policies established by the Federal Government. You will give detailed supervision and resolves working problems as required. Makes final inspection when job is complete. You will develop metrics to determine and implement process change initiatives, identify performance issues and improve productivity. Daily utilizes this data and established reports from the SPM to track progress.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Provide review and/or input for shop materials and tool needs; 2) Responsible for enforcement of applicable safety regulations; 3) Counsel employees and resolve informal complaints and grievances. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
