The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is in the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The Office of the Chief Information Officer is responsible for Smithsonian's financial, contracting, and human resources information technology needs.
Duties
This position is in the Facilities Management Systems Division (FMSD) within the Office of System Modernization. The incumbent provides customer services, and technical support for facilities management software including IBM TRIRIGA, SI Explorer, FleetWave, Resolver Perspective Security Incidents, as well as the Visit Count Management System (VCMS), and other related facilities management software.

Qualifications
GS-09 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position Specialized experience is defined as experience using ServiceNow IT ticket tracking software to manage, respond to, and resolve service tickets and problem incidents for an organization’s facilities management software and providing end-user training on how to use an organization’s facilities management software;
OR
Have a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.

Handles technical, sensitive, or controversial topics with agility involving executives/managers as appropriate.
Problem Solving: Identifies and analyzes problems, weighs relevance and accuracy of information, generates and evaluates alternative solutions, and makes sound recommendations.
