This position is located in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Administration, Electronic Filing and Public Web Services Office. The incumbent of this position will continually identify areas of product and services improvement through independent review and user feedback, analyze data to include user feedback and inquiries, and provide development services to areas targeted by the results of the assessment, based on the needs of the agency.

Duties

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy. The incumbent of this position will provide feedback based on independent review and evaluation of the USPTO website, the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedures, the notices and forms used in the trademark electronic filing system and other data sources for the purpose of improving these resources and ensuring they are correct. The incumbent will continually identify areas of product and services improvement through independent review, user feedback, analyze data to include user feedback and inquiries, and provide development services to areas targeted by the results of the assessment, based on the needs of the agency. You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including Specialized Experience and/or Educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at Management and Program Analysis Series 0343 Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience using a trademark electronic filing system and making recommendations for improvement in electronic filing systems; Experience analyzing systems or work processes to determine efficiency and effectiveness; Experience updating and maintaining procedure manuals and training materials; and Experience with Extensible Markup Language (XML) in communication of information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
