This is a non-supervisory, bargaining unit position.
Relocation expenses will not be authorized for the person(s) selected under this vacancy announcement.
Duties
Ensures that all property and equipment items are properly accounted for according to laws, regulations, and Library policies. Coordinates record-keeping of receipt, location and disposal of all accountable property and equipment involving property and/or equipment management, coordination, and control for a local inventory management program at the Packard Campus. Responsible for a variety of asset management duties involving many different and unrelated processes and methods. Executes a range of technical equipment control duties in the areas of equipment accountability including accurately and timely recording keeping of acquisitions, utilization, identification, inventory control, and disposition of all accountable equipment. Ensures that all property and equipment items are properly maintained and accounted for according to laws, regulations, and policies. Provides advice and guidance to the Chief, Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation, Library Services, on the requirement of the equipment control and replacement program, agency management and organizational requirements for property management, reuse and disposal. Uses asset controls and systems procedures to ensure proper accountability of Library property at the Packard Campus.
Qualifications
Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision.
Ability to utilize computer technology.**
Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to facility maintenance, utilization, and operations.**
Knowledge of policies, processes, and regulations pertaining to inventory, property and equipment management.**
Ability to perform contractor oversight for facilities construction, repair, and maintenance.**
Ability to research, gather and analyze data and information.
Ability to communicate in writing.
Ability to interact collaboratively with others.
Ability to plan, organize and execute work.
Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
