Duties

As a Equal Employment Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Subject matter expert (SME) in the EEO complaint processing, alternative dispute resolution or mediation. Detailed experience in EEO counseling. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: Fact-Finding/Inquiries - Conduct inquiries and/or fact finding or complains, harassment, and/or allegations of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) violations in order to attempt resolution and determine courses of action. Analysis and Research - Conduct research and analysis of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, court decisions, regulations, and personnel policies/procedures to identify employment trends and barriers to determine impact on the organization. Assessment and Compliance Review - Evaluate Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance and effectiveness in accordance with laws, policies, and regulations internal and/or external to the organization. Program Management - Develop, coordinate, and/or implement an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliant program. Design, implement, and manage project/programs with the time, resources, and quality standards required. Reporting - Develop and draft informal and formal reports in accordance with laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
