THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a DOCTRINE TRAINING AND FORCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, Position Description Number D1780P01 and is part of the CO JFHQ J3, National Guard.
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Doctrine, Training, and Force Development Officer. Functions as the JFHQ-State principal staff officer in the areas of joint force development; supporting operational planning; joint doctrine; education and professional military development; staff training; exercises; and assessment. Serves as the primary staff officer for developing joint integration plans, joint training, joint professional military education and exercise programs, and to develop the action plans to implement approved joint strategies for the department. Plans, coordinates and conducts joint exercise to facilitate joint and interagency operations. Provides JFHQ-State input to Combatant Commander's war plans, with emphasis on homeland defense/homeland security. Develops and issues pertinent policies and training budget directives to enable effective planning at the unit level. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Must be a current Permanent Dual Status Federal Technician within the JFHQ J3.
- Must hold the grade of E-7 thru O-4.

Military Grades: E-7 thru O-4
1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources.
2. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.
