About the Position: Serves as Building Management Officer, Facility Management Division, which provides MEDCoE organizations with essential real property maintenance and contract services, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Manage the day-to-day operations of Government owned facilities through the application of theories, principles, methods and techniques. Knowledge of contracting practices which relate to maintenance and services, contract administration, real property and utility maintenance, leasing, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning. Planning, scheduling and conducting of projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations and practices. Assisting in development of service contracts and drafting formal contract language for augmentation to the contracts. Planning and coordinating for a variety of services and the evaluation of adequacy ofthe facilities and services provided.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
