This INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST position, is located in an intelligence unit and is part of the CA 149 IS.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-11, is to serve as the Information Systems Security Officer. Administers the Special Security Office (SSO) and all SCI-associated security programs and measures. Provides detailed research and analysis on physical, computer, and personnel security. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices.

General Experience: Possess experience providing detailed research and analysis on physical, information, computer, and personnel security. Administers the Information Protection Program to include protection from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to wing and command mission interests, national defense or national security. INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-11: Must have at least 36 months experience administers server-based networked systems, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and application monitoring required to provision, sustain, operate and integrate cyber networked systems and applications in garrison and at deployed locations. Experienced in research and analysis reports on physical, information, computer, and personnel security. Capable of Implementing policies and procedures for accomplishment of sensitive compartmented information protection and security. Experienced in completing and managing the day-to-day operational duties within the Special Security Office in support of all sensitive compartmented information-associated security programs and measures.
