This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. This position is located at the White Earth Health Center, Ogema, MN within the Bemidji Area Indian Health Service (IHS), White Earth Service Unit (WESU). The WESU consists of the White Earth Health Center and two (2) satellite health centers, located at Naytahwaush and Pine Point. The incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, improving, and implementing the Security program.

Duties

Responsible for assessing needs, planning, and implementing a service unit wide security program which is integrated into all of the programs within the WESU. Prepares and maintains statistical and narrative reports of Security activities. Responsible for planning and implementing the Security Department budget. Directly supervises up to nine (9) GS-0085-04 Security Guards. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work assigns. Assigns wok to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of staff members; evaluates work performance.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-06: One (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least to the next lower grade level. Examples of Specialized Experience: GS-06: Responsible for the overall staff member, training, development and providing direct security services. Prepares statistical and narrative reports as required for security and program compliance. Oversees and insures facility and grounds security is provided in enforces security regulations. Specialized Experience - Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
