This position is located in the Department of Energy's Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. This office provides technical expertise in support of the nation's nonproliferation and national security interests and responsible for developing and implementing an effective Counterintelligence Program for the Department. Ensures effective us of intelligence information regarding nuclear weapons, nuclear proliferation, nuclear materials, terrorist-related activities, and potential threats
Duties
At the full performance level GS-15, Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:
Provide support to the Division Director with program planning and management of all aspects of Nuclear Materials Information Program.
Interact with senior policymakers, including the Homeland and National Security Council, other government agencies, the National Laboratories, and contractor agencies as the US government focal point for nuclear materials-related issued.
Provide intelligence information on nuclear material issues, to include Materials, Protection, Control, and Accounting (MPC&A), site security, material transportation, and material characterization.
Define, direct and advocate the Nuclear Materials Information Program vision and strategic direction with current stakeholders while promoting, identifying and developing new partnerships and products.

- Must obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Must successfully complete an initial CI evaluation and on a recurring basis, which may include a CI-scope polygraph examination.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).

Evaluating laboratories program efforts to assure quality is maintained, including guidance and review of related programs, funding or resource application.
Identifying areas of engagement for interagency collection strategies designed to reduce or eliminate intelligence gaps on nuclear material issues.
Managing analytic production of nuclear material analysis of finished intelligence reports, reviews, or short and long term assessments on nuclear material issues.
Briefing senior Intelligence Community and policymakers on nuclear materials intelligence issues.
