This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Athletics Division, New London, CT.
Duties
This role supervises the financial, operation, and facilities management of the athletics division. The athletics division administers the cadet varsity athletic programs and chartered club sports to include all aspects of the academic Health and Physical Education (HPE) program, intercollegiate athletics program, athletic physical plan, and procurement and inventory of equipment resources.

Qualifications
Qualifications for GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples include: Analyzing and evaluating changes in program plans and funding and their effect on financial and budget program milestones; analyzing financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions; Reviewing, editing, and consolidating annual and multi-year budget estimates for assigned area of responsibility; Preparing or editing narrative justifications and projected funding needs, and assures that data in requests is formally and accurately documented in a wide variety of unrelated forms, schedules, and reports. Analyzing and forecasting for customers their demands for goods and services and for changes in nature, type, and cost of goods and services produced. Monitoring the execution of a budget with many different sources and types of funding such as direct multi-year appropriations, allotments from many different appropriations, transfers of funds from other agencies, reimbursements for services performed, revenue from working capital funds, and trust accounts. Identifying and analyzing trends in the receipt, obligation, or expenditure of funds to ensure that objectives of the annual financial plan are being met on a timely basis, and that funds are available and being properly and effectively used to support program objectives.
