This position is located at the Pacific Missile Range Facility - Navy Getaway. The purpose of this position is to perform front desk and/or reservation functions for the lodging program.
Duties
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring security of all guests and guest privacy is maintained at all times
Posses a welcoming manner and positive attitude, demonstrate effective communication skills, interact and answer guests questions concerning hotel facilities; provide information about local attractions
Receive requests and process reservations within established guidelines
Register and assign rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, keeping records of occupied romos
Responsible for the inventory of all keys and any other supplies or amenities maintained at the front desk
Answer phones and transfers calls to appropriate individuals
Logs trouble calls in the PMS and ensures the appropriate department is notified
May be required to retrieve lost and found items and contact guest regarding respective items
Requirements
- Must pass all applicable records and background check.
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following:
Preferred 6 months of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, and regulations related to hospitality operations
Skilled in personal computer and various software programs
Must possess basic math and reading skills
Ability to hand, control, and account for large amounts of cash
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Ability to work various shiffts due to the operation conducting business 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
Ability to work primarily indoors with adequate heat, light, and ventilation in an office environment
Standing, walking, and lifting/carrying objects up to 30 pounds
Ability to obtain Navy Lodging Program (NLP) front desk certification within 6 months of employement, as well as, any other requirements outlines in the Lodging Career Path Guide
