This position is located in Region II, Division of Resource Management and Administration, Information Resources Branch.The supervisor is Shawanna Heath, Branch Chief. This position is Non-Bargaining Unit. This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure or security ownership restriction reporting requirements. Expenses associated with interview and/or relocation will NOT be paid.

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Administrative Assistant duties.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience, beyond high school, performing a wide range of administrative and secretarial functions such as preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging travel, etc., one year which must be equivalent the GS/GG-7 grade level in the Federal service. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following: 1.) Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures; 2.) Ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments; 3.) Ability to deal tactfully with various levels of personnel; 4.) Ability to work within a team environment or as a lead administrative assistant; and,  5.) Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and appointment calendar. A description of how you possess these skills as well as how you meet the qualifications desired should be addressed in your resume. To qualify for this position you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience that demonstrates thorough knowledge and familiarity with administrative policies and procedures to properly prepare and review outgoing correspondence, make travel arrangements, prepare travel requests and vouchers, complete time and labor cards, arrange meetings, maintain calendars, manage ticket tracking, and perform other general administrative duties. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office365 Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and knowledge of NRC or equivalent time and attendance, recordkeeping and travel systems.
