You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR in NAVAL AIR TRAINING COMMAND, TNG AIR WING SIX.

Duties

You will supervise positions that are operationally located within five different departments. You will plan and direct the daily tasks and workload requirements in support of the Squadron's mission. You will provide technical oversight, develop performance plans, evaluate work performance of subordinates in narrative form and assign ratings of record as well as approve leave, overtime, and certify timecards ensuring payroll validity. You will identify development and training needs of employees, ensure continuous training of employees in support of mission success, and, when needed, coordinate any outside training for employees. You will be responsible for identifying security issues, reporting actions required, and maintaining current command requirements per governing instructions. You will assist and advise military assigned Administrative Officer (AO) and two assigned GS-0303-05 Program Operation Support Assistants (POSA) in direct support of all active duty military Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) actions. You will perform the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, auditing, and oversight of accurate travel processing, timely submission of claims, and accurate execute of funds per governing directions. You will identify employee growth and training and coordinate with external agencies when needed. You will plan, direct, and coordinate all customer service support programs to ensure mission success. You will review and analyze issues, develop recommendations, and improve efficiency within squadron processes.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating administrative programs by analyzing personnel requirements to plan daily workload assignments and develop reports or recommendations for the improvement of program policies for a training squadron. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree. The major study of such education is in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree. The major study of such education is in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
