About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at INSCOM 207TH MIL INTELL BRIGADE HQ in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Develops in-depth intelligence analytical assessments to determine best methodology to counter the enemy threat and support course of action development.
Reconcile conflicting policies and guidance from Army, INSCOM, USAFRICOM, SETAF-AF and other DoD Agencies at operational, functional, technical, and financial approval levels.
Represents the command as the Senior ALERT SIGINT Analyst during coordination and liaison with counterparts throughout the national intelligence community.
Directly responsible for project management and development of new concepts, programs, and plans.
Requirements
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance based on a TS investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- May be required to be on-call.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
