This National Guard position is for a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR, Position Description Number T5010000 and is part of the PA Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel DCSPER, National Guard.

Duties
As a RESILIENCE AND RISK REDUCTION COORDINATOR, GS-0101-11, you will perform duties as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator that requires the incumbent to analyze trends by utilizing qualitative and quantitative measures to ensure the effective implementation of the Program. Serve as the staff consultant on all aspects of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program and training and is the focal point for analysis on a full spectrum of issues affecting Soldier accession and recruitment. Serve as the Resilience and Risk Reduction Program Coordinator with the responsibility for the overall planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, standardization and promoting of a comprehensive and effective program aimed at the reduction of Soldier and civilian high-risk behaviors (e.g., domestic violence, drug and alcohol, suicide, etc.). Participate with military and other government agencies in the definition of research requirements, the planning for research utilization, and the establishment of objectives and policies pertaining to resilience and risk reduction. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED
This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

AOC A: NG Employees working at the location specified.
AOC B: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
AOC C: Open to the public.
Supervisor for this position is LTC Nathaniel Lantz.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 36 months experience, education or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence;evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources. Must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures. Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
