You will serve as a Community Planning Technician in the Asset Management Business Line of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will prepare documentation required to determine project requirements. You will interpret laws, regulations, and policies when creating community planning projects to ensure command remains is compliance with regulations. You will review National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in conjunction with siting requirements (e.g., Facility Site Approvals, leases, licenses, easement, Class I, Class II property records). You will update the Naval Facilities Assets Data Store (iNFADS property database) to maintain current records. You will develop on-site planning documentation for projects involving construction, alteration, maintenance and repair.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing various on-site planning documentation involving construction, alteration, maintenance and repair with the intent of producing executable projects;.2) Planning and producing comprehensive work packages to be used as the basis for administrative or budget planning, special project and Military Construction projects; 3) Communicating orally and in writing regarding planning studies, budget/funding, and presenting finding and recommendations. Responding to data calls and requests for information; 4) Performing facility asset evaluations at various bases and producing quality iNFADS records updates; 5) Reviewing, preparing and uploading documentation related to real property construction, purchase and disposal; 6) Creating and updating draft basic facility requirements documentation and loads approved data into Navy tracking systems.
