You will serve as a general supply specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Norfolk at Cheatham Annex of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Duties

You will be responsible for monitoring and providing technical advice and guidance to operating level personnel regarding various programs or aspects of storage management, distribution operations, quality assurance and customer service. You will evaluate and analyze trends of record imbalances by isolating contributing causes. You will identify and document material movement and/or workload flows using standard flowcharting methods to assist in troubleshooting, process standardization or process improvement You will compile data and analyze reported problems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts and methodologies in order to perform General Supply Specialist work that provides technical inspection, inventory management and inventory control support to material Special Storage Programs Material and Ship Material. I have experience performing routine research and causative analysis when discrepancies are identified as a result of physical inventory and supply discrepancy reports or recoded balances. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) responsible for monitoring and providing technical advice and guidance to operating level personnel regarding various programs or aspects of storage management, distribution operations, quality assurance and customer service;2)Demonstrating a knowledge of Material Management Distribution and Supply functions, in addition to systemic support interlaces to collect and analyze information, formulate conclusions, and prepare written documentation of investigations.3) resolve various aspects of logistics to include material receipt, storage, issue, packing, care and preservation, auditing and accountable records and ;4) Ability and experience to utilize various personal computer program applications to develop and maintain material research histories and provide an overarching view of causative research conclusions to identity areas of weakness, requiring further studies and/or analysis. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
or
master's or equivalent graduate degree

GS-09 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree, LL.B, J.D., or have completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

GS-09 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
