You will serve as a FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SITE MANAGER of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will ensure Safety Program and Policies are fully implemented.
You will assist in the development of operational and budget planning.
You will make required decisions to effectively complete workload according to established priorities and procedures.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- May be required to work outside normal work schedule, including weekends.
- A Valid California state driver's license is required.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of experience at or specialized equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advise leadership on such products and services as facilities/equipment maintenance and repair; 2) Review workload in relation to important milestones such as start dates, work progress, completion dates, and makes the necessary daily adjustments to comply with changing work conditions; 3) Monitor the execution of all required work at the site, provides oversight and coordination and recommendations on the execution strategies; 4) Monitor the execution of maintenance work for schedule adherence, quality and safety; 5) Provide assistance in the development of operational and budget planning, primarily by providing pertinent technical and mission information.
