About the Position: This position is with Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers (HQ USACE), Directorate of Human Resources. This position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year.

Duties

Serves as a member of the Directorate of Human Resources (HR), assisting the Director of Human Resources in establishing and managing a comprehensive Civilian Human Resources Program. Provides staff advisory and consultant services to the Division Commander, District Commanders, subordinate district offices and all organizational elements. Ensures Commands are advised on the arranging of duties and responsibilities among positions in a manner to achieve maximum efficiency and economy. Prepares or assists in the preparation of policy issuances having Division-wide impact for all HR Delegations through Command Channels.

Perform formal on-site review of HR operations using staff team members to evaluate program effectiveness, timeliness, and conformance with policies and directives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
