About the Position: As the Equal Employment Manager you will serve as a staff official coordinating, planning, developing, implementing, administering, managing, advising, and evaluating the Equal Employment Opportunity/Diversity Management Program at the District, to include interpretation of policies, laws, and regulations, the development/implementation of policy/training programs. Provide advice regarding the broad range of EEO and Affirmative Employment issues impacting the District

Duties

Oversight of EEOC Management Directive MD-715 - EEO Program Status Report, EEOC Management Directive 110, Disabled Veterans Affirmative Action Program, Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Program, and the Special Emphasis Programs. Responsible for complaint facilitation, early intervention leading to conflict resolution, the affirmative employment program, diversity programs and non-discriminations in federally conducted and federally assisted external programs. Develop and present equal employment opportunity training for supervisory development and employee awareness to ensure understanding at all levels. Serve as advisor to the Commander at the District level relevant to EEO and Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) to include the development of affirmative employment plans and identification of initiatives to eliminate barriers. Strategize for resolution of discrimination complaints and other workplace disputes. Recognized by higher level management as the EEO expert "in the field" and must possess the knowledge, skill and confidence to provide consulting services, technical decision and effective program management. Serve as the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Coordinator.
