About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division, Director of Logistics located at Moffett Field, California.
Duties
As Deputy G4, direct logistics operations and programs for a complex Army Reserve (AR) Readiness Division that supports training and readiness of AR units and other military components with an area of responsibility covering 7 states.
Implement new and emerging technologies, methods, or applications in the fields of logistics and business management.
Coordinate and work with senior management officials including civilian contractor personnel of other units or organizations.
Gain compliance with established policies, regulations and contracts by persuasion or negotiation, or through direction of efforts of contractors.
Ensure that Army and AR logistics policies, processes, procedures, and business rules are correctly executed and implemented within the RD and its assigned and/or attached facilities, agencies, elements, and organizations.
Provide advice and recommendations to the Commanding General (CG) and to HQ United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) G4 for changes to logistics policies, processes, procedures, and business rules.
Supervise the daily activities of a full-time staff which may include civilian, military and/or contractor personnel.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating and integrating the implementation of new logistic technologies and processes; supervising the activities of multifunctional teams across a large geographic area of operation; developing plans or programs for supply, maintenance, and/or transportation management operations; overseeing procurement and distribution of equipment; and administering life-cycle management of allocated major equipment.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-13).
