About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Auto Hobby Shop, Fairchild AFB, WA. Responsible for ordering, recording and dispensing or automotive parts. Maintains inventory and insures that all parts are recorded and processed through the computer point of sale system. This is a Regular Part time position; guaranteed 20-34 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility.

Duties

Responsible for ordering, recording and dispensing or automotive parts. Maintains inventory and insures that all parts are recorded and processed through the computer point of sale system. Maintains time and attendance records, receiving reports. purchases, inventory and vehicle storage records. Generates end of the month records through the point of sale system, providing appropriate documents for supervisory and the NAF Accounting. Uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents (i.e uses database or spreadsheet software to enter. revise, sort or calculate and retrieve data; uses graphic software to provide charts and graphs. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a personal computer or workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area or organization. Establishes and maintains control / suspense logs. Routes and files correspondence, Maintains files. Answers telephone calls and receives visitors supplying requested information from own knowledge and / or files, or refers caller to appropriate source. May work uncommon work schedule, Including evenings and weekends. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level or the position. In addition, applicant Is required to demonstrate possession or a high degree of proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Experience In NAF Accounting is desired. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier I background investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
