Duties

NSD's Foreign Investment Review Section (FIRS) is responsible for DOJ's work to protect national security in foreign investments in the United States, telecommunications, and the information and communications technology and services (ICTS) supply chain:

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
• Must complete a Background Investigation to include drug testing
• Selective Service Registration is required, as applicable
• May require completion of one year probationary period
• COVID vaccination status may be requested for the purposes of implementing workplace safety protocols.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia, and have 1 year or more at the GS-12 level; 1.5 or more years at the GS-13 level; 2.5 or more years at the GS-14 level; and 4 or more years at the GS-15 level. Applicants must also have superior academic credentials, and writing and analytic skills. Applicants must also be able to qualify for the highest and most sensitive security clearances. Prior corporate transactional experience, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, venture capital, corporate governance and contracts, is strongly preferred.
