This position is located in the Support Services Division (SSD) at a Nashville Regional Office (RO) and the incumbent serves as a senior support services specialist. The purpose of the work is to plan, organize, administer and ensure adequate administrative support regarding supplies, Personal Identity Verification (PIV), mailroom, timekeeping, continuity of operations (COOP) and facility and fleet management.
Duties
Ensure compliance with RO and CO directives on requisitions for printing, reproduction, and distribution of forms
Plan, organize, and administer joint project meetings with internal management and external stakeholders.
Conduct analyses to determine facility requirements based on RO organizational needs, service deficiencies, and appropriate resolutions to identify issues.
Perform property management duties such as equipment needs analysis, maintaining records
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Fleet Management issues
Oversee the day- to-day functions of the Fleet Management including, but not limited to, the documentation of authorized operators, oversight of vehicle maintenance, review of vehicle safety recalls, and storage when not in use..
Serve as the primary PIV Card Issuance (PCI) Manager for the RO
View information for each role assigned and reviews applications in the Portal area of the PIV website that are in process or have been processed
Assist the Support Services Supervisor in coordinating building security with GSA building management
Back up the Support Services Supervisor for all of the following responsibilities: Safety Officer, Continuity of Operations (COOP) Coordinator, Parking Coordinator (Carpools), centralized mailroom oversight, and Building Liaison

Individual Occupation Requirement:
Applicant must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level (GS-11) in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Management analyst or technician or other work that included study, analysis, or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices, and procedures.
Administrative officer or assistant, budget administration, program analysis, or other work that demonstrated knowledge of an organization and its functions, and the ways in which support services can facilitate the work of the organization.
Office management experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support services such as typing, mail processing, purchase of supplies and equipment, etc.
Secretarial work that required monitoring and coordinating administrative and processing work of subordinate elements through a system of internal procedures, controls, production, progress reporting, etc., to insure the efficient operation of an organization.
Military experience that included responsibility for directing a variety of support functions such as communications, property management, mail service, facilities and equipment maintenance, etc.
There is no authorized substitution of education, for the specialized experience required at the grade level GS-12.
