Duties
Prepares and set priorities, prepare work schedule, and monitors budgetary estimates and prepares justification to obtain program fiscal resources.
Executes full range of administrative authorities to include effecting personnel actions, approving leave schedules, being the deciding official for disciplinary actions, determining training needs, and adhering to district policies.
Ensures efficient, effective, and timely execution of programs in accordance with the established objectives, schedules, and program funds.
Oversees all phases of major projects to assure integration/coordination within established time frames. Conduct periodic program reviews and analysis briefings to compare progress with objectives and established milestones.
Identifies areas where slippage is occurring and determines required corrective action to bring project in line with established schedules.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles in accomplishing assigned duties.
- Duties require travel up to 10% of the time.
- May be required to obtain and maintain one of the following security clearance levels: Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI/Polygraph with background investigation (enroll in the Army Drug testing program) to perform classified work.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Project Management associated with Military Programs which involves management of a project's scope, schedule, and budget; 2) Providing technical guidance/leadership to team members for various projects; and 3) Resolving project issues that are either political or technical in nature. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
