You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in the Public Works Department of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will review request for construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, replacement and other services from initial customer request to completion of work and final billing.
You will work with clients to clarify scope of work, financial obligations and desired completion date.
You will collect and monitor information from a variety of sources and compile data to evaluate goals, detect errors, determine status of work, and evaluate trends to achieve best utilization of resources.
You will track and monitor the status and completion of work through computerized management and maintenance system (Maximo).
You will coordinate most of the timing and integrated production efforts of the many shops and departments responsible for work on various segments of maintenance and repair jobs.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
EXTERNAL APPLICANTS (APPLICANTS WITHOUT CURRENT OR PRIOR FEDERAL COMPETITIVE OR EXCEPTED SERVICE (I.E.VEOA): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, scheduling, fund tracking and resource leveling in support of facilities construction, maintenance and repair projects. 2) Developing, preparing and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts for the use of production planning and control. 3) Monitoring work status to prioritize various processes governing production operations and to ascertain fund availability, etc. 4) Identifying and recommending alternative courses of action when routine methods are inadequate.

INTERNAL APPLICANTS (APPLICANTS WHO ARE CURRENT OR PIROR FEDERAL COMPETITIVE OR EXCEPTED SERVICE EMPLOYEES): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, scheduling, fund tracking and resource leveling in support of facilities construction, maintenance and repair projects. 2) Utilizing Microsoft programs (i.e. spreadsheets, graphs, Word) for preparing reports for the use of production planning and control. 3) Monitoring status of work, validating data, and coordinating completion of supporting actions.
