Duties

Initiate basic case management procedures and conducts a preliminary review of Exceptional Family Members documents to determine eligibility for enrollment. Update the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Standard Operating Procedures for the office. Face-to-face and electronic communication with customers. Data entry into various electronic databases and spreadsheets. Administrative functions associated with completing EFMP actions. Provide formal training to health care personnel, health care providers, and administrative personnel on EFMP screening, coding and enrollment procedures. Prepare reports and surveys as appropriate to meet requirements outlined in regulation or as requested by higher headquarters.

  • This position requires Childcare Background Check (due to regular contact w/ children or adolescents).
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as social or behavioral sciences, medical administration or psychology. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
