About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center Camp LeJeune, North Carolina.

Duties

Sweep/mop floors, wipe walls and clean/sanitize surfaces. Scrape food residue from all utensils, bowls, plates, trays, and pans. Serve hot and cold foods to dining room patrons. Assemble/disassemble patient trays. Unload mobile food carts, scrape food from dishware, place dishware and eating utensils into dishwashing racks. Unload dishwashing racks, dry and return dishware and utensils to proper storage spaces.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Must frequently lift and carry supplies, materials, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds with or without assistance WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in well-lighted areas that are often hot, humid, and noisy. Work is performed in close quarters and employee is exposed to injury from falling on wet floors or food spillage. Employee is subject to injuries from equipment, dishes, pots and pans and serviceware to include burns, bruises, and cuts. Employee is also subject to dirt, grease, and chemicals used for cleaning.
