You will serve as a Tech Solutions Deputy Director in the Office of Naval Research Global.

Duties

You will conceive and organize plans for Fleet/Force outreach to raise awareness of TechSolutions and understand the warfighter's technology needs. You will leverage personal network and TechSolutions contacts to collaborate across the Navy and Marine Corps to build stakeholder coalitions among the Naval Reseach and development establishment. You will identify evaluation team members and coordinate proposal evaluation activities among ONR Project Officers. You will monitor progress and plans for ongoing TechSolutions projects by conducting frequent interaction, collaboration and coordination. You will lead warfighters through the technology request process.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NP-03 pay band (GS-11/13 grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Conceiving and organizing plans for Fleet Force outreach; 2.) Leveraging personal network and Tech Solutions contacts to collaborate across the Navy and Marine Corps; 3.) Identifying evaluation team members and coordinating proposal evaluation activities; 4.) Monitoring progress and plans for ongoing TechSolutions projects by conducting frequent interaction, collaboration and coordination; AND 5.) Directing the development processes for TechSolutions web presence.
