This position serves as a senior Environmental Protection Specialist who applies experience and comprehensive technical knowledge to accomplish assignments and to develop strategies to improve environmental programs and policies. Incumbent reports to the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Support Operations Group (ESOG), EOSH Program Support Center.
Duties
Performs multiple, varying and complex work assignments under the minimal direction of a Manager, Project/Program Manager or more experienced Technical Specialist. Acts as principal technical specialist or as a Project Manager or Team Leader for large work activities.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Successful completion of a security investigation will be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-0028-I, FG/GS-13. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is defined as experience in drafting, reviewing, editing and writing environmental technical documents/reports for internal and external distribution; experience in management, coordination, oversight, and execution of environmental compliance programs; experience with conducting studies, surveys, and audits to identify environmental problems and provide corrective guidance.Applicants should include examples of all specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully.
