The Smithsonian Institution (SI) is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is in the Finance and Administration Staff in The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The OCIO is responsible for designing, providing, managing, and continuously improving SI’s information and communications technology solutions and approaches.
Duties
The Management Support Specialist is responsible for performing full life cycle monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and evaluating of financial processes and transactions for the office using the ERP PeopleSoft Financial System.

Qualifications
GS-07 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal Service. For this position Specialized experience is defined as experience preparing financial documents such as purchase orders and requisitions ensuring compliance with an organization’s policies and procedures.
OR
At least 1 academic year of graduate education in a field of study that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. One year of graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.
OREDUCATION: Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) - A Bachelor's degree, with one of the following: A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last 2 years of study, or a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last 2 years of study, or rank in the upper one third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or membership in a national scholastic honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.ORCOMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Education and experience may be combined to meet the basic qualifications.
