About the Position: This position is located with the Office of the Commander Strategic Initiatives Office.
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions or details may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Serve as a Tobyhanna Army Depot Program (TYAD) Project Manager for an assigned commodity of communications-electronics.
Use in-depth commodity-based knowledge of new technologies, DOD strategic planning, weapon system development, industry direction, and TYAD capabilities to posture the depot for future depot workloads.
Responsible for logistical planning for organic capability and the logistical planning for new weapon systems.
Research new weapon systems for marketing contacts and develops marketing plans for assigned commodities.
Perform a source of repair analyses and core capability assessments for new and emerging weapon systems within the assigned project.
Responsible for maintaining adequate communications and coordination between participating outside organizations and between internal elements of the project team.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50% of the time. The duties of this position require the incumbent to periodically travel to worldwide locations.
- Obtain and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP)Certification from the Project Management Institute within two (2) years from date of hire into this position.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position (Foundational). Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistic certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- Position requires you to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450. (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R,
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service which includes 1) Planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support programs for new and future weapon systems; AND 2) Adjusting corrective action plans, as necessary, to ensure customer expectations are met; AND 3) Coordinating with stakeholders in the development of agreements such as Statements of Work and/or Memorandums of Agreement.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
