The primary purpose of this position is to perform tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue, and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies.
Duties
Maintain stock levels for authorized supplies.
Maintain property accounts and records, complete individual transactions, screen reference files, conduct data searches, and distribute output files.
Perform general clerical support and document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions.
Assist customers, storage depots, or other organizations.
Use varied and advanced functions of application software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while applying standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned, using automated supply databases to enter, correct, and structure or retrieve recurring or specialized reports, resolving clerical assignments problems using standard office equipment and software automated functions while working within the structure of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced.

EDUCATION: Successful completion four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques, and methods; and policies and procedures for requisitioning and stock control.
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.
Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system; and word processing automation software functions to support office operations and produce a variety of textual documents, such as letters, reports, memos, and form letters.
Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.
Ability to research, compile, and analyze supply information and data; receive, screen, review, verify, and maintain supply documents; and resolve discrepancies.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
