Duties
WG-10:
Perform routine maintenance work on AC/HVAC systems using appropriate tools
Conduct safety checks on commercial packaged HVAC equipment and associated systems
Perform preventative maintenance on commercial packaged HVAC equipment and chillers
Interpret blueprints and sketches for the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems
Understand and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HVAC/utility systems
WG-11:
Design and implement optimization strategies for HVAC/utility systems in a research and development facility
Provide subject matter expertise to accomplish assigned tasks in HVAC/utility systems
Develop testing protocols for specialized HVAC equipment, chillers, and low-pressure steam systems
Review and approve blueprints and sketches for specialized HVAC/utility system projects
Develop emergency safety measures for specialized HVAC/utility systems
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
- Suitable for Federal employment
- Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical examination
- Bargaining Unit Position: Yes American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Local 2186
- Call back or emergency overtime required
