You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Total Force Human Resources and Manpower (BUPERS-05) of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.

Duties

You will troubleshoot complex Civilian pay and leave problems. You will advise employees on actions that must be taken to correct pay and leave problems. You will verify leave reports and resolve discrepancies. You will identify the needs for new procedures to maximize efficiency of operations. You will review human resources policy, regulations and guidelines for impact on command. You will recommend changes or adaptations to facilitate command management of its HR programs. You will analyze various human resources reports and participate in inspector general inspections. You will maintain files with complete documentations for audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying complex pay and leave problems; 2) Advising employees on actions that must be taken to correct pay and leave problems; 3) Verifying leave reports and resolve discrepancies; and 4) Identifying the needs for new procedures to maximize efficiency of operations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
