Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas:
Large Business and International Office of Program and Business Solutions, Finance.
The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and, values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.
Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; achieving desired results; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress, reviewing completed work to ensure that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality are met.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience includes Experience using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, for assessing program development, measuring and evaluating program compliance and accomplishments; identifying significant program or resource issues, and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency; experience developing long- and short-term program plans, assess resource utilization, initiate or recommend new or revised processes and procedures, and advise and assist in managing diverse and complex programs; experience applying Regulations, Rulings and court decisions affecting business functions, and the experience researching and applying these laws and Principles to develop and evaluate programs; experience in applying principles, practices, and methods of financial management in order to monitor resource utilization and to analyze whether obligations, expenditures and requested allotments are within the approved budget; experience resolving issues that may be controversial and sensitive, experience preparing and delivering reports and assessments on plans and proposals to internal and external audiences.
