About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts and Craft Center Shaw AFB, SC.

Duties

Assists Director in organizing, directing, and coordinating a diversified arts and crafts program which includes (but is not limited to) class instruction and programming, framing, engraving, sublimation, printing, and graphic design. Maintains systems, troubleshoots, and corrects problems. Assists other employees with layout designs on special orders. Ensures maintenance and repairs are accomplished on all equipment Assist Director with selection of new products. Accounts for all funds and equipment involved in the operation of the base Arts and Crafts program. Monitors resale inventories and ensures Air Force and ACC financial standards are met concerning the resale operation. Ensures proper cash handling procedures are incorporated. Orders and arranges for equipment, supplies, instructors, vehicles, etc., needed to accomplish/support the arts and crafts program. Research products to make sure we are in compliance with Hazmat. Maintains both the Hazmat and Safety programs and ensures that all directives are adhered to. Supplies marketing with information to advertise the classes and services offered by the Arts & Crafts Center. Trains new employees in basic function of Corel Draw and Specialty Soft and operation of current equipment in awards and graphic areas. Supervises other subordinate staff members. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Be customer service oriented. Have working knowledge of computers to include networking. Be proficient in Corel Draw and Photo Paint. Have a working knowledge of digitizing software. Understand technical terms. Have a working knowledge of sublimation printing process and be able to convert artwork to color scheme of inks used in process. Be able to troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment. Experience that demonstrated the ability to plan, supervise, administer, or carry out an educational, recreational, cultural, or other art program such as art festivals, competitions, or workshops preferred. This ability may have been gained in managing, administering, directing, or teaching art methods and techniques of one or more art forms in a community or private are center or by planning, establishing or evaluating an art curriculum at secondary or higher academic levels. Undergraduate and graduate education with major study in one of the fine or applied arts appropriate to this position may be substituted for all or part of the experience. Satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check (NAC). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
