You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ORDNANCE OPERATIONS in the NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND PACIFIC EAST ASIA DIVISION of NMCPAC EAD UNIT PEARL HARBOR

Duties

You will perform managerial functions including budgeting, organizing, directing and coordinating technical work performed by the Command. You will monitor and evaluate the progress of organizational goals to ensure operational success and that methods, procedures and equipment utilized are safe and efficient. You will implement changes in policy, processes and procedures to improve performance and quality of work. You will identify challenges and resolves conflicts relating to scheduling, work methods, budget shortfalls, manning, and support from other branches and commands to ensure mission goals are met. You will identify manpower, equipment, and facility requirements to ensure appropriate actions are taken to provide for near-term and future deficiencies. You will evaluate subordinates work performance, provide instruction, and advice on work and administrative matters, and develops performance standards. You will plan and schedule ongoing ordnance related work on a short and long-term basis and directs assignments of similar duration based on priorities.

  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You may be required to lift objects that are 40 lbs. or less.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating ordnance operations by identifying budget, equipment, and manning requirements in order to develop schedules and resource allocation plans for the execution of ordnance production projects.
