About the position: This position will be assigned to the Training Office on Whiteman AFB. This position is considered Regular Part-Time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however you could work up to 40 hours per week. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for Health/Dental & Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement. Employee will be eligible for the use of the fitness center golf course, bowling center, club, swimming pools and other activities.

Duties

Responsible for planning, administering, developing and evaluating a complete training and readiness program for all personnel assigned to the Force Support Squadron. Develops the Force Support training plan. Identifies training requirements, ensuring higher headquarters directives are incorporated, identifying appropriate resources/vendors, ensuring funding is acquired. Continuously consults with managers and supervisors to identify training requirement for assigned personnel. Develops education and training materials and testing procedures. Develops and maintains a comprehensive collection of training materials and develops, when necessary, comprehensive educational curricula to meet specific training requirements. Develops and implements testing procedures for required certification. Ensures all personnel requiring training are trained, documenting and updating training records once completed, tracking individual and collective status, ensuring personnel are enrolled in career development programs, etc. Develops formal or informal training courses for personnel in the various force support functional activities. This involves developing course plans and outlines, developing or locating appropriate handout material, and insuring courses are evaluated upon completion. Conducts "train the trainer" instruction in order to teach designated squadron trainers the fundamentals of curriculum development and instructional techniques and effective job skills training including initial orientation, qualification/upgrade, and recurring training for the trainer's functional activity. Ensure all training data calls are completed, review by the commander and submitted on time as required by higher headquarters, commanders and the Base Training office. Implement and manage training programs, trackers, policies and procedures as directed by AF 36-2201, higher headquarters, commanders and Base Training office. Qualifying Experience: BASIC: Three years of progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions. Plan and organize work and communicate effectively orally and in writing. SPECIALIZED: One year of experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of experience includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, supervising or administering a training program, development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices and evaluation of training results, work in the subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. MUST be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier one background investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
