The ideal candidate is able to create, develop and deliver/execute communication campaigns to convey complex information concerning agency programs, activities, and services. This individual will provide technical and professional communications support towards the successful accomplishment of the agency’s goals and objectives.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to determine appropriate media formats,; Analyzing media campaigns to report issues and recommend changes and/or improvements; and, Drafting correspondence related to public affairs such as, talking points and/or responses to media inquiries. To qualify for this position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Writing, reviewing, and developing written reports; Coordinating conferences, planning sessions, meetings, and briefings for a variety of external stakeholders; and, Developing and implementing communication strategies for a variety of organizations.
