THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST) - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2161000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard.
***NOTE: Current on-board applicants (AREA 1, Title 32 employees within 123 SEF SQ only) will retain current tenure and be temporarily promoted or reassigned, all others will be hired with indefinite tenure.***
Duties
As a SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST) - TITLE 32, GS-0080-9, you will review all operations, mobility, contingency, and exercise plans to ensure combat readiness for the SF Squadron. Evaluate equipment, manning and training requirements to meet wartime, contingency, deployment, and pre-planned tasking. Manage plans for deployment, disaster preparedness, base recovery, and contingency response. Responsible for proper security, classification, and storage of classified documents. Compile information by identifying shortfalls and recommending corrective actions to Status of Resources and Training System (SORT) monitor. Coordinate, review, and implement SF manning authorizations and military personnel assignments. Initiate operational and administrative actions in support of unit manning authorizations and coordinate with base training, recruiting, and ANG NGB/A7S. Serve as the SF commander's key staff member responsible for the management of the unit-training program. Serve as a training consultant to all unit members and determine if quality-training programs are in effect. Schedule personnel to attend USAF technical schools and training. Develop and coordinate the SF training plan. Develop, administer, and oversee the management of the unit's training programs to supervisors. Instruct and coordinate train-the-trainer and task certifier courses for personnel. Direct the certification testing (CERTEST) program. Forecast and submit deployment for training requirements in coordination with SF commander to ANG NGB/A7. Conduct unit self-inspections and assessments. Plans, formulates, analyzes, and coordinates budget submissions to support training requirements. Serve as the primary Resource Advisor for the unit. May perform and enforce security forces duties within the military installation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Must have successful completion of the Air Force Technical Training AFSC/Security Forces School for AFSC: 3P0 (must be a minimum skill level of 5).
Must have experience in a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Ability to develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods. Experience in information, personnel, and physical security to effectively implement, integrate and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months experience using methods, procedures, regulations and other guides that relate to training programs within the Security Forces career field. Experience developing, analyzing, and evaluating security training programs. Knowledgeable of the National Guard organizational structure, missions and responsibilities. Experience with applicable Federal and DoD rules, regulations, instructions, practices, principles and procedures including force protection, integrated base defense, anti-terrorism and physical security. Experience using Security Forces procedures and operating methods to perform the full range of Security Forces activities. Experience conducting training and educational assignments. Experience developing training lesson plans and timetables. Experience applying regulatory requirements and policies governing training and operations. Experience coordinating with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and intelligence organizations. Experience performing and enforcing Security Forces duties.
